• Please submit a high quality scan or photo of the recipe by email tohello@ourplatter.com.

Scanned images work best because they get a flat copy of the recipe with a lot of light. If you don't have a scanner, you can scan at an office store, UPS store, or Walgreens/CVS. There are also scanner apps you can load on your phone, such as Adobe Scan, which make a scan out of a picture.

A photo of the recipe will also work. It is best to take the photo with a lot of natural light, such as by a bright window or outside. You want to avoid shadows and flash on it. With therecipe on a flat surface, hold the camera up above the recipe to capture it. This will help keep it from looking distorted if you take it from the side.

• If the recipe is very old, yellow, or faded, it may be hard to transfer the text. If this is the case, I have an alternate design that uses the image of the recipe on the platter without the background removal.

• If you're not sure, feel free to send a message or copy of your recipe to review.
