Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For September 21

Akil Baddoo of the Tigers hit the league’s furthest home run yesterday at 448 feet. Sportsmemo content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his daily home run prop picks and predictions for Wednesday, September 21 with odds provided by PointsBet.

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Jose Ramirez (+350)

Jose Ramirez and the Guardians are pulling away in the AL Central and it couldn’t be a better time for them to do so. There are roughly two weeks left in the regular season and Ramirez has an excellent chance to hit a home run tonight as Lance Lynn will be taking the mound for the White Sox.

Ramirez is 10-29 with four home runs against Lynn in his lifetime and Lynn on the season has allowed 16 home runs in 103.2 innings pitched so far this season. He’s allowed eight of his 16 home runs at home in nine less innings pitched than on the road.

His last start came against these Guardians in which he went 6.1 innings allowing two earned runs. Ramirez hits .301 on the road compared to .255 at home and 18 of his 28 home runs have come on the road as well.

Ramirez is +350 to hit a home run but other Guardians hitters to consider are Andres Gimenez (+700) and Amed Rosario (+550).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Justin Turner (+375)

It’s almost playoff time which means Justin Turner is starting to heat up for the Dodgers. He’s hitting .407 in September and riding a 8-game hitting streak which includes two home runs. He and the Dodgers go up against Madison Bumgarner tonight who has allowed four home runs over his last two starts.

Bumgarner seems to have mailed it in allowing 18 earned runs in total over his last four starts. He sports a 5.43 road ERA compared to 4.74 at home and has allowed nine home runs in 59.2 innings pitched on the road.

Against the Dodgers this season Bumgarner has a 6.55 ERA and has given up three home runs in 11 innings pitched. Turner is 19-77 all-time against Bumgarner going along with four home runs as well.

Eleven of Turner’s 13 home runs have come at home and he also hits much better at home with a .312 average compared to .265 on the road.

Get Turner at +375 to hit a home run while other Dodgers to consider are Trea Turner (+300) and Mookie Betts (+210) who each have a home run off Bumgarner in their career.
