I absolutely love the campus at Southeastern. It feels like there’s always something to do whether it walk a few laps in the recreation center (if you’re like me and don’t exercise at the extreme), hanging out with friends in the union, or sitting in the library to work on either school or personal projects. I personally like going there to write short stories.
Student life is one of the strongest aspects of SLU, and I’m sure that’s intentional. There’s noticeboards all around that promote all sorts of events or clubs. There’s one at the office of student engagement that is regularly updated!
I think one thing I would change about SLU is how they go about maintenance and renovation. They change the location of buildings frequently, but some of the older buildings aren’t given as much attention. I am an art major though, so I’ve gotten used to those older buildings—they are still safe and look good, it’s just that you can tell they’re quite a bit older.

My overall experience with Southeastern Louisiana University is great! I love all the resources they offer for students. I love how it feels at home and the professors are always willing to help. I would like to see more scholarships offered and resources for tutoring for all majors.

Love this school! The professors actually care about student success inside and outside the classroom. Met a lot of my friends at this school from classes and just walking around the campus at the events being hosted.
